The New York Times recently published an article about Steven Lekson’s new book, History of the Ancient Southwest, which offers a kind of unified theory of the Native American population movements that have puzzled Southwest archaeologists for many years. In his new book, Lekson continues his arguments in support of his Chaco Meridian theory and discusses Southwestern prehistory on a macro scale, showing interconnections of prehistoric events and social change that are often studied at smaller scales.
