Espinoza Consulting Services (ECS) conducted a series of cultural resource survey projects for the U.S. Army’s Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) facility in western Arizona. Upon completion of the first project (Extended Range Cannon Artillery or ERCA) ECS had rerecorded and GPS mapped five previously identified sites and 15 newly identified sites. In 2016 and 2017 ECS subcontracted ACS to support the post-field processing of GPS data and the preparation of cartographic and geospatial products. ACS conducted QA/QC on the field-collected data, verifying its accuracy and resolving data issues where needed. Report-quality cartographic products were prepared and final spatial datasets were provided to ECS for their initial ERCA report. ACS continues to provide GIS support to ECS for the remainder of the surveyed YPG project areas under a master services agreement.
