Environmental Planner Laurel J. Arndt has joined ACS

Laurel is an environmental planner with a B.S. in Business and a Masters of Environmental Planning from Arizona State University. Laurel is part of the team responsible for managing environmental, natural resource, planning, and NEPA projects. The addition of Laurel to ACS’ environmental staff demonstrates our commitment to our continually expanding environmental and urban planning capabilities.

Laurel has worked in environmental and urban planning in the Valley for ten years as a consultant and with various not-for-profit conservation organizations. Her expertise includes land use analysis, policy analysis and development, conservation planning, agency coordination, public involvement, environmental education, communications, and marketing. Additionally, Laurel has provided guidance to state and local commissions and boards in the areas of recreational management, and community and natural resource planning. Prior to joining ACS, Laurel was in private practice and taught environmental and urban planning at ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.

ACS is a 32-year-old corporation in the State of Arizona certified by the Arizona Unified Certification Program as a woman-owned small business enterprise. ACS’ capabilities include cultural resource literature reviews, surveys, testing and data recovery, and historic preservation projects; paleoenvironmental studies; biological assessments, reviews, and evaluations; environmental planning; NEPA-related documents including EAs and EISs; environmental permitting projects; surface water and groundwater projects; geomorphology; hazardous materials and waste management; and GIS and GPS applications.
