Biological and Cultural Resource Assessments, Copper Springs Mining Exploration, Minquest
ACS was contracted by Minquest to conduct biological and cultural assessments for this mining exploration project on US Forest Service (USFS) land near Globe, Arizona. ACS biologists completed surveys for the Arizona hedgehog cactus and worked with Minquest and the USFS to move drilling locations, establish construction avoidance measures, and conduct postconstruction monitoring for areas where cactus were found. Mitigation measures were also negotiated to minimize potential impacts to Mexican spotted owls. ACS archaeologists completed a Class III cultural resource pedestrian survey and report for this project.
