In 2001, ACS wrote the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for the construction of the Redundant Blowndown Line for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS). The purpose of the project was to construct a blowdown pipeline that will provide PVNGS with a redundant piping system for cooling tower blowdown. ACS worked with PVNGS engineering and environmental personnel to review the route of the pipeline, site drainage patterns, construction activity sequences, stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs), temporary and permanent stabilization techniques, the submittal of the NOI, and other SWPPP requirements. ACS produced the SWPPP site map using GIS.
