ACS Staff Members to Participate in Sessions at 7th Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Parnership Conference (June 18-20th, 2009)

Two of ACS’ principal investigators, Allan Schilz and Victoria Vargas, will be partipating in organized sessions at the 7th Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Parnership Conference (June 18-20th, 2009) that is being held at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix (www.azpreservation.com). Allan Schilz is participating in the session “Archaeology and Taxpayers” on Friday, June 19th, 10:30-11:45 am. He he will be talking about how the Light Rail archaeology project he has directed for the past four years is contributing to our knowledge about the Phoenix Basin. Victoria Vargas will present her paper, entitled “The Hayden Flour Mill Project: Urban Redevelopment, Adaptive Reuse, and Historic Preservation” in the Preserving Industrial Heritage Session on Thursday, June 18th, 2009, 2:00-3:45 pm.
